I mentioned in a post on April 15 that we would be meeting with the Concessions Board to ask for funds, and today I found out that we were awarded the money. The Program for Students with Disabilities will be purchasing tennis racquets, tennis balls, basketballs, an air compressor(to air up wheelchair tires), and a Vitaglide Wheelchair Exercise Machine. These items will help increase recreation and exercise opportunities for our students with disabilities on campus. I know many of you might be wondering what is a Vitaglide Wheelchair Exercise Machine. I have uploaded a picture and explanation below.
COMPARISON OF MUSCLE ACTIVITY

VitaGlide™ is a revolutionary exercise system designed to improve the quality of seated fitness programs. Using its patented linear, push-pull technology, VitaGlide™ increases range of motion and involves more muscle groups, resulting in a more complete workout when compared to traditional seated systems.
