Bad News and Good News. Bad news first, Jared lost his singles match and is now playing in the consolation bracket. His match will be at 9:30am. Good news, Jared and his partner won their doubles match and will play at 3:00pm. They defeated a team from Grand Valley State University.
I would like to mention that Jared and his partner Marcus, representing MIT, played an incredible doubles match. They played a pro set, which means that the first team to eight games wins. The result was 8-6. That looks like a normal score you would see, but how they got their was not the usual way. They started the set down 1-5. Jared and Marcus came back winning the next 7 out of 8 games. It was an amazing come back. Congratulations and WAR EAGLE!!!
