Amputees Across America
AU Adaptive was able to participate in Amputees Across America this past Thursday and Friday. Amputees Across America is "an American journey of amputees, crossing the United States on bicycles to commemorate those individuals we meet along the way who have suffered an injury or sudden illness but have not lost hope and refuse to give up". This group stopped at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital of Phenix City on Thursday and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery on Friday to speak with patients and share their stories. You can read more about this organization at Amputees Across America This was the groups 9th year of riding across America and was an incredible event.
